What Therapists Need to Know to Survive the DSM-5
A Preview of What’s New & Different
Presented by:
Gerry Grossman, MFT
Become familiar with the new categories and new diagnoses
in DSM-5. Get an overview of DSM-5 categories and diagnoses with an emphasis on what is different from the DSM-IV-TR. Discover what you’ll need to know and learn for clinical practice since things have been renamed, revised, reclassified, newly developed or eliminated.
Changes in diagnostic criteria for some of the frequently used clinical diagnoses will be highlighted.
Gerry Grossman, MFT, Founder of
Gerry Grossman Seminars
has been successfully training MFT & LCSW candidates for their BBS licensing exams since 1985. He has an extensive knowledge of clinical practice & a teaching style that is clear, incisive, humorous & empathic. A trained hypnotherapist, he has assisted many people with test anxiety & he has helped thousands of therapists gain additional clinical skills through his company’s CEU classes. In private practice, Gerry specializes in working with young children & their families. For the past 29 years he has conducted therapeutic enrichment groups where he brings in his guitar, art supplies & puppets to help four & five year old children identify & express their feelings.
