  • Is a member of CAMFT in good standing. 
  • In order to join LA-CAMFT, you must first join state CAMFT and maintain your membership.

  • Joining Dues: $50
  • Is a professional related to Marriage and Family Therapy and is licensed, certified or registered pursuant to California law and is in good standing with their professional organizations.
  • Includes LCSWs, psychologists, psychiatrists, and LPCCs.
  • Must also be a member of CAMFT in good standing.
  • Associates are non-voting chapter members.
• Pre-Licensed Member
  • Joining Dues: $30
  • Includes associates, trainee or student
  • Associates and trainees are engaged in the process of gaining experience towards licensure.
  • Students are enrolled in a Master’s or Doctorate program satisfying the educational requirements for eligibility to sit for licensure.
  • To join, any pre-licensed person must first be a member of CAMFT in good standing.
• Community Partner
  • Joining Dues: $75
  • For singular (one-person) entities who are professionals working in a field unrelated to Marriage and Family Therapy or mental health examples include accountants, attorneys, physicians, and financial advisors.
  • Community Partner’s are non-voting chapter members.
• Lifetime Member
  • Joining Fee: $300
  • If you think you will be practicing for more than 5 more years, then it makes sense to become a lifetime member now; you never have to pay another amount or bother with annual renewals!
• Retired or Inactive Clinical Member
  • Joining Dues: $30
  • Declared inactive by the BBS and no longer working in the mental health field nor are offering or promoting any other businesses or services – otherwise one belongs in the Community Partner Category.
  • Retired or Inactive Clinical Members are non-voting chapter members.
