 Healing Relationships by Harnessing the Power
of a Couple's Need for a Safe and Secure Bond

Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) focuses on creating and strengthening a couple’s emotional bonds by identifying and transforming the key moments that foster an adult loving relationship.  By combining  Attachment Theory and Systems Theory  EFT reframes a couple's difficulties as cycles of negative emotions and behaviors that are driven by perceived threats to their attachment bond with their partner  and helps couples transform them. Discover how you can Identify these repeating negative cycles and re-inspire couples that there is hope for their relationship, and for others, even when things may seem bleak. 
                                                                                                      
Karen Shore, Ph.D., licensed psychologist, is in private practice in Santa Monica, where she works with adults in individual, group, and couples therapy.  , Dr. Shore  is certified in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) as a therapist and as an EFT Supervisor.  She has taught and supervised at the Wright Institute and the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis and has been a supervisor at the Maple Center and at the Valley Community Clinic.  Dr. Shore is Past-President of the Los Angeles County Psychological Association.
