Eating Disorders & the Family System: Helping Individuals & Family Members Heal Their Relationships with Each Other, Self and Food

Anna Kowalski, MFT

Positive family relationships are one of the important ingredients for the successful treatment of eating disorders. Update your knowledge of the best practices for helping individuals and family members get through what is often a long and difficult journey to recovery. Find out what you can do to help these individuals and family members open the lines of communication and reconnect with one another and when there is a eating disorder in the family system.  Familiarize yourself with the strategies and interventions that help individuals and family members heal their relationships with each other, self, and food.

Anna Kowalski, MA, MFT, Family Therapist and Associate Clinical Director at Monte Nido Treatment Center helps families to reconnect with one another and open the lines of communication during what is often a long and difficult journey to recovery. Anna's true passion is family therapy; she leads the family therapy program at Monte Nido Vista and Monte Nido Treatment Centers. She is in private practice in Calabasas.
