Anatomy of Attunement: Enhancing Non-verbal Communication & Embodied Connection with the Feldenkrais Method®

Bridget Quebodeaux, MA, GCFP, MFTI

Bridget Quebodeaux, MA, GCFP, MFTI is a gifted teacher and seasoned Guild Certified Feldenkrais practitioner, and creator of the therapist-focused audio training series: Anatomy of Attunement.

Bridget brings the body/mind healing practices of the Feldenkrais Method® directly into the art of psychotherapy, providing clinicians with experiential learning that results in expanding the clinician’s embodied awareness while in the process of providing psychotherapy.

The Feldenkrais Method® is a model of somatic education that uses gentle movement sequences to bring attention to physical patterns, and possibilities, that are currently outside of awareness. The Feldenkrais Method® seeks to restore natural and optimal use of Self in all action.

When applied in the clinical setting, this learning expands therapeutic awareness of non-verbal behavior, both implicit and explicit actions occurring moment-to-moment within the therapist, as well as within the relationship, allowing for deeper primary attachment healing for clients. You know about the importance of attunement with your clients. In this workshop you will expand your awareness of its anatomy in action, so you can grow your capacity to be attuned with yourself as well as with your clients!

  • Develop your ability to read non-verbal cues from your clients
  • Free your body to respond naturally and effectively even when containing strong emotions
  • Increase awareness of body-barriers to perceiving and communicating through movement
  • Explore movements of the eyes and body that are essential for bringing ease to the carriage of the head, suppleness to facial muscles, and freedom in the spine, limbs and breath
  • Learn tools to teach your clients for tapping into their own body/mind wisdom
