ENGAGING MALE CLIENTS WHO ARE ALLERGIC TO THERAPY with Len Felder, PhD
Quite often we learn about a boyfriend, husband, son, or dad who could benefit from therapy, but we are informed that he is “not open to it”. Dr. Len Felder will help us understand how many treatment approaches, specific words we use as therapists, and even our tone of voice, can cause men to shut down or bolt from therapy. Dr. Felder’s presentation will provide us with creative and practical examples of how to engage and motivate men to enter into and to fully participate in individual, couples and family sessions so they can get the most out of the therapeutic process.
Len Felder, PhD is a licensed psychologist in West Los Angeles who has written 13 books and appeared on over 150 radio and television programs. His titles include "Fitting In Is Overrated," "When Difficult Relatives Happen to Good People," "The Ten Challenges," and "Here I Am: Using Jewish Spiritual Wisdom to Become More Present, Centered, and Available for Life."
