Using Neuroscience to Successfully
Treat Adolescents & Adults & Their Emotional Bottlenecks

Presented by: Brandon Park, Ph.D.

Many adolescents and adults who come to therapy for behavioral and emotional issues have unrecognized neurological issues that affect their ability to think, learn, interact, manage behavior and process emotions. Deficits in processing speed, working memory, and/or executive functioning can create emotional processing issues that affect thinking, learning, and behavior at home, school and work. Anxiety, depression, frustration, anger, emotional overload, and withdrawal can all be the result of a small working memory, slow processing speed and executive functioning deficits. Learn to recognize when this occurs and what you can do about it.

Brandon Park, Ph.D. Licensed Psychologist,
specialties in neuropsychology, cognitive rehabilitation & positive behavior support, is an expert at evaluating & treating clinically complicated adolescents & has achieved great success in working with adults & adolescents struggling with negative, aggressive and self-harming behaviors and attitudes. He specializes in assessing and treating cognitive difficulties, as well as in creating and implementing positive reinforcement plans. A journal author, professor, & trainer, he’s Assessment Director of Aspen Institute and works with adolescents with executive functioning difficulties, learning disabilities, and cognitive challenges, including those on the spectrum.
