Roger Schwarz, LMFT, Passes Speaker Committee Chair baton to Jenni Wilson, MFTI

Darlene Basch, LCSW

As Networking Events chair, I highly value the work of my committee chairs. For the past two years it has been my pleasure to work with Roger Schwarz, LMFT, the chair of the Speaker Committee.

Roger came to us after chairing the Speaker Committee for the San Fernando Valley chapter of CAMFT. He brought his years of experience there along with great new ideas for topics and speakers. Roger vetted each speaker carefully, ensuring the highest quality of presentations for our Networking Events. His ability to organize information in an understandable format made it easy for us to plan ahead.

Roger plans to stay active in LA-CAMFT and attend meetings regularly. His plans for the future include expanding his work with couples, developing his skills using the Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM), and teaching more workshops. He’s very excited about his new collaboration with a personal trainer to develop programs working with exercise and energy as a mind/body practice.

A big thank you to Roger for his dedication and hard work.

I welcome Jenni Wilson, MFTI into our Networking Event leadership team. Jenni and I have worked together for the last couple of years. At LA-CAMFT events, I could always count on her to jump in and assist in whatever needed to be done. From doing the business card drawing to making announcements on stage, Jenni handled all her duties with grace and enthusiasm.

Jenni’s experience producing the therapy oriented podcast, “The Relationship Show” with Dr. Wendy O’Connor, prepared her for this new role. She lined up a variety of speakers on diverse topics and prepared them well for the show.

Jenni plans ahead and is very organized. She jumped into action as soon as she accepted her position. In the last two months, she researched and confirmed more than half our speakers for 2017. LA-CAMFT is very fortunate to have Jenni on our team.
