As Fall rolls in and we look towards Winter, our SOMA SIG is busy creating exciting learning opportunities for our community. The SOMA SIG is chaired by Daniel Factor, LMFT. At the moment we have scheduled two new workshops:
November 22, 2015, Anatomy of Attunement with Bridget Quebodeaux, MA, GCFP, MFTi, who is bringing us her innovative usage of the Feldenkrais Method® for psychotherapists. Space is limited to 30 people for this enriching, skill-building opportunity, so hopefully you’ve seen the eBlasts and website announcements, and you can join in.
February 7, 2016, Introduction to Hakomi workshop with seasoned trainer Shai Lavie, MFT from Northern California. Shai is also a contributor to a newly released book called Hakomi Mindfulness-Centered Somatic Psychotherapy: A Comprehensive Guide to Theory and Practice. We are thrilled to be able to collaborate with him here at LA-CAMFT.
Looking further into 2016 we will be bringing back the wonderful neuroscience educator, Dr. Marc Milstein, who received rave reviews for his thoroughly satisfying and science clarifying May 2015 SOMA SIG workshop titled Understanding Neuroscience: the Latest Insights On Stress, Trauma, and the Physiology of Therapy, Mindfulness, and Exercise. So, lots of great stuff coming soon! Stay tuned, and register early, as our workshops have been selling out!
