New Board Member: Shelley Pearce, LMFT

Shelley Pearce, LMFT

Ever since Shelley attended her first Networking Event in January, she has been on a fast-track of involvement in LA CAMFT events and workshops. At the Summer Leadership Retreat, she described feeling a special affinity for the extraordinary people she’s met within our community and that she felt inspired to share her time and talent with our leadership team. Suffice it to say that the leadership team feels the same affinity with Shelley and is thrilled that she has agreed to fill the Director at Large board position vacated by Judith Weigle. Randi Gottlieb officially appointed Shelley to the position at the Board meeting on August 9th.

Shelley comes to us with seasoned nonprofit leadership experience, having successfully led several organizations throughout her career. She was former Chairperson of the Cultural Council of Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, and spent over a decade as Director of Wilkes University School of Visual and Performing Arts before relocating to California. In that capacity she was honored with “Community Leader of the Year” award by the intermediate unit covering six counties in Pennsylvania. She currently sits on the board of Global Bridge humanitarian foundation and has a private counseling practice in Santa Monica. For more information about Shelley click www.shelleypearce.org.
