February Member Highlight: Lynne Azpeitia, MA, LMFT

After seven years as a Board member, leader, and active participant of LA-CAMFT, Lynne Azpeitia still finds herself excited about being involved in and contributing to her professional community. She’s definitely glad she said, “Yes,” to Jonathan Flier’s 2009 invitation to help him reboot LA-CAMFT with the model she created for AAMFT Networking Meetings. Lynne has served as Programming Chair, Participant Announcements Emcee, and Communications, Sponsorship & Marketing Advisor.

As the Recipient of the 2015 CAMFT Outstanding Chapter Leader Award for the Los Angeles Chapter, Lynne Azpeitia, LMFT, AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Business, Clinical & Creative Coach is based in Santa Monica where she helps entrepreneurs, mental health professionals, and gifted, talented and creative people use their talents to achieve and maintain success without sacrificing their health, relationships, bank account or sense of humor. She works in person, by phone, or Skype, providing individual, couple and family therapy and coaching, as well as supervision and training for mental health professionals.

Lynne’s career includes extensive training with most of the major family therapy pioneers, and more than 10 years of mentoring and coaching, training with Virginia Satir. Internationally recognized for her innovative training, speaking and consulting, as well as her extensive knowledge of the Satir System, she’s a Professor Emeritus of Phillips Graduate Institute’s Core Faculty and has been Adjunct Faculty at Pepperdine University, Alliant International University L.A., National University, University of Phoenix, and now, again, Phillips.

A popular speaker and workshop leader known for her practical, useful advice and innovative coaching, consulting and psychotherapy work, Lynne’s been doing business and clinical coaching with mental health professionals for more than 15 years, helping them develop their careers and practices.
