LA-CAMFT’s Expressive Arts Committee is giving a shout out for a fantastic opportunity coming at the end of the month. First, who are we? We are a Special Interest Group of “hybrid” professionals who identify as both artists and therapists. We come together to organize workshops which expand our therapeutic community by providing open access to artistic tools for healing. Together we passionately share, educate, and advocate for the integration of the arts with mental health practices. We meet monthly to share our experiences and support our practices. Additionally, we are in the process of planning some great workshops for 2017. We want to reach out to all of the therapists out there who identify with this mission and encourage you to learn more about us! Please contact: firstname.lastname@example.org.
As mentioned above, the LA-CAMFT’s Expressive Arts Committee is supporting the UCLArts and Healing Conference on Creativity & the Arts in Healing Thursday, March 30 through Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Hilton Los Angeles Airport. Come join us to learn arts-based tools for facilitating communication, building connection, promoting positive emotions, fostering engagement, reducing stress, and managing the impact of trauma in our inaugural experiential training conference. All are welcome! Select any one or combination of days. Over 30 continuing education credits are available. The conference is sponsored in partnership with Expressive Therapies Summit. Some of the LA-CAMFT Expressive Arts SIG members will be in attendance. We hope to see you there!
