April Editor’s Note

Rena Jacobs
Communications Chair, LA-CAMFT

My commute to work takes me through the windy streets of Beverly Glen. I purposefully avoid the 405 and take the canyon so that for the 30-45 minutes it takes me to get to work, I am able to enjoy the blooming flowers and sunlight drenched streets. Spring has most definitely sprung in Los Angeles and with it, comes a precious few more hours of daylight and breathtaking blossoms.

Seasons are not the only thing shifting. Our profession is continually undergoing change and transformation. I have found the best way to keep up-to-date with ongoing changes in our community is by checking the BBS website here and participating in mental health communities on social media, including the LA-CAMFT Facebook Group.

We are also making changes and adaptations to Voices. Our intention is to produce a newsletter to reflect the interests and needs of you, our reader and LA-CAMFT community. We hope you enjoy this edition of Voices as it was created with you in mind.

If you are interested in having your voice heard, I can be reached at communications@lacamft.org. We are always looking for new writers and ideas.

Happy Spring,
Rena Jacobs, Communications Chair
