About
LA-CAMFT is a local chapter of the larger state organization, the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT).* Like many local chapters, LA-CAMFT was formed to create a more intimate, localized, and accessible community of Marriage and Family Therapists for the purposes of networking, professional development, and career support. Through monthly chapter meetings and committee participation and programs, members are afforded important opportunities to connect with one another and form lasting professional relationships in what might otherwise be a lonely profession.
LA-CAMFT has gone through some interesting evolution. In early 2009, a previously dormant chapter was reborn and rejuvenated, thanks to a small group of motivated MFTs who missed the comfort and support of a vibrant community. The chapter now proudly consists of over 200 new members, and we are growing by the minute!
